This bur is very efficient at producing a controlled 0.4mm rounded shoulder crown margin. The bur should be sunk into the tooth until the safe ended guide tip is held against the tooth. Maintaining this contact the bur can then be swept around the tooth to produce the desired margin. Care should be taken to keep the bur in an upright orientation during preparation.
This bur is a coarse grit.
